A Practice Built on Experience and Intention
With over a decade of pediatric experience, Janet Boateng is the visionary behind Lumené Newborn Concierge — a private, high-touch newborn care service designed for families who desire clinical excellence with compassionate support. Her career began as a pediatric nurse in a highly respected hospital setting, where she developed a deep commitment to safeguarding children’s health and supporting families during life’s most delicate moments. She later advanced into the role of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, providing comprehensive care across pediatric clinics and specialty environments.
Most recently, Janet served mothers and newborns within a renowned birthing hospital, guiding families through their baby’s earliest days with clinical precision and calm reassurance. It was during this time that she recognized a gap — families needed continued expert support beyond hospital walls. Lumené was created to fill that space. Janet earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from North Carolina A&T State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University. Her advanced training allows her to integrate evidence-based medical care with a refined, family-centered approach tailored to each home she enters.
In 2023, she was honored as a Reader’s Choice Award finalist — recognition that reflects both her clinical expertise and the trust she builds with families. As a wife and mother herself, Janet understands firsthand the vulnerability and beauty of the postpartum season. Through Lumené, her mission is to provide discreet, expert newborn support that protects your peace, restores your confidence, and ensures you never navigate early parenthood alone.
